I’ve always collected football shirts. Ever since I was a little girl I used to obsess over the iconic shirts and beg my Mum and Dad for the latest strips. I have over 150 football shirts ranging from Bali FC to the latest Newcastle United shirts.

So naturally when I launched Manchester Laces and began working with the incredible Katee, Flossie and the the rest of the London Laces crew I said “I NEED your kit!” and they connected us with the team at The Nomad Studios to create our very own Laces kit with a twist…

The MCR Laces kit represents the incredible city we live in and the people within it. The community and togetherness within Manchester Laces is unparalleled and is also a massive reflection of the city itself. We are all grafters, we are family and we wanted to use the symbol that represents this awesome city: the worker bee.

Before Laces I had spent years playing for football clubs where we were handed the men’s team hand-me-downs with baggy shorts and mud-stained socks. With Manchester Laces we wanted to do things differently and we decided to change it up and allow every player to have their own kit. All kits can be personalised and every player can keep their kit.

I genuinely believe that by making players feel like the real deal, they’ll play like the real deal and so it was crucial for us to have a kit which the whole team loved.
